Trade Union News from Finland is one of the oldest net services, focusing
on the trade union movement.

SAK

The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK is the oldest employee confederation in Finland. SAK represents the interests of more than one million members in 22 affiliated trade unions. This makes SAK the largest lobbying organisation in Finland.

STTK

The Finnish Confederation of Salaried Employees STTK is one of the three trade union confederations in Finland. STTK's 20 affiliated trade unions represent approximately 650 000 professional employees.

AKAVA

AKAVA - the Confederation of Unions for Academic Professionals in Finland - is a trade union confederation for those with university, professional or other high-level education, formed by 31 affiliates and with about 461 000 members and with over 70% unionization rate.

Welcome to The Representation of Finnish Trade Unions to the EU FinUnions' (former KEY Finland) web pages. FinUnions is the representation of the Finnish trade union confederations SAK, STTK and AKAVA.

What is FinUnions?

The Representation of Finnish Trade Unions to the EU FinUnions (former KEY Finland) was created jointly by the Finnish trade union confederations SAK, STTK and AKAVA. It started its operations in Finland and moved to Brussels when Finland jointed the European Union.

FinUnions represents altogether around two million Finnish wage-earners.

Promoting interests Disseminating information

FinUnions has two priorities. It promotes the interests of Finnish wage-earners in European integration-related policy and collective bargaining and disseminates information on the European Union to its founder organisations.

FinUnions monitors labour market related matters in EU institutions together with the Finnish wage-earners organisations and maintains relations with key players.
